Symptoms of Perimenopause

Are you wondering if you are in Perimenopause?

It usually starts in a woman’s 40s, but can start in her 30s or even earlier, and lasts up until “official” menopause

  • Irregular periods,
  • Increased PMS,
  • Cramps,
  • Decrease in libido,
  • Increase in weight,
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Difficulty falling or staying asleep
  • Irritability, moodiness
  • Fatigue
  • And of course the good ol’ hot flashes and/or night sweats

Some women go through this phase with few or no symptoms, but many develop these annoying symptoms. You do not have to “just live with it” or suffer through it! Don’t let anyone tell you that.

What Is Happening?

Hormones are fluctuating as your ovaries are packing up to leave for their retirement and permanent vacay. You’re not crazy, you’re not losing your mind. You are losing hormones. When you lose hormones, you also lose protection from Heart disease, Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Osteoporosis (just to name a few).

What Helps?

Replacing hormones such as Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, and in some cases, Thyroid. Naturally, with bioidentical hormones. And having a healthcare provider and a team who listens and will help guide and support you through this important time. Don’t suffer through it. Get the right information and help protect your body and add life to your years.
